Anybody happen to have a decent black leather bridle lying around unused? Want to give it a good home? If so, let me know!

Re: black leather bridle?
I do. It's the John Lyons style. Here's a picture off the JL store website:

The headstall that I've got is black.
Need any JL reins to go with it?

Re: black leather bridle?
Nice!
Is it new or used? [when I said "unused" in my OP, I should have said "unneeded" or "neglected" or "out-of-a-job" or something like that!]
I'm hoping used - I'm on a budget!
What would you want for it?
Oh, I don't need the reins....I made some black w/black slobber straps....Scout's going to be all classy in basic black when I'm done.

Re: black leather bridle?
It's very gently used and in excellent just about new condition. How about $35 ($30+ $5 shipping)??
It's just sitting in my tack room. Has been for the past year. Just hanging there. Lonely and unneeded. I've gone bitless (thanks Rodger) and ever since, this headstall is just...there.
If you want it, PM me with your address and I'll PM you with mine.

Re: black leather bridle?
I sent you a PM, Wendy, with the info.
Sorry, Gwen! I don't have another lying around. I've gone bitless, so I don't use the one I've got anymore. It's just sitting there collecting dust.
<---no reason for this smiley, except that I think it's funny.

Re: black leather bridle?
Hey, I got the JL bridle from Ivonne....w/o dust!....and I used it on Scout today!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Nice!
A bit heavier than her old one...she seemed fine with that.
Only one problem, not a biggie, but the browband is too big on her and it's not adjustable in any way.
Anybody got a creative idea for me how to deal with that?

Re: black leather bridle?
ah! yeah. it's Aussie style so it's not adjustable. hm... do you have a saddle shop around your parts? any saddle maker should be able to break it apart and restitch it to fit better. other than that....hmm....
