GOOD NEWS AND NOT SO GOOD NEWS

Post  Daisygldfsh on Sun Mar 01, 2009 3:49 am

Okay, so the farrier came today and told me that Sam has not one but two old abcesses -one on each front hoof. Good news, because we first thought it was laminitis.

Not so good news, she has the "runs" again. Called the vet and he has her on antibacterial meds. He's thinking that she has some sort of baterial infection going on that is causing this to happen.

I thought Sam's feet were all okay. What is going on?

Brian came this morning. He picked up her left hoof and said, here's an old abcess, and then showed us another one in her right front.

    Where were you? Yeeha

I didn't know he was coming. I was at a conference in Auburn. Actually, probably at about the time he was there we were under a tornado warning. That was my wake up call on Sat. I was hoping at first that it was a regular siren. The next day it snowed in Auburn. Weird, huh.
Did Brian do Allie's feet? I sure haven't paid for it if he did. I probably should talk to Deanna about that.
